In junior high, I was mesmerized by the cheerleaders who were clearly at the top of the social hierarchy. When I got to high sohcol, I auditioned, but I didn't make it. Oh well, next year. So I audition again. And this year I make it. By the time I'm a senior, I'm included in a lot of different groups. But my people, they were the brainy kids in AP government and on the school nsepapewr.
