Meditations: Forty Dhamma Talks
, by Thanissaro Bhikkhu (2003; 460k/160pp.)
These short talks on meditation practice were given by Ajaan Geoff (Thanissaro Bhikkhu) during the evening meditation sessions at Metta Forest Monastery (California). Using breath meditation as the principal point of reference, these talks address a wide range of topics of practical interest to beginning and advanced meditators, alike. Topics range from the development of generosity, the cultivation of skillful qualities of mind, how to develop concentration, how to overcome fear, and so on — all the way to the opening to the transcendent itself.
This book is highly recommended.

Access to Insight has moved!
-
First, let me apologize to those of you who have been frustrated over the past week by an inability to access the website. My former web hosting service was plagued by catastrophic technical problems that completely overwhelmed their limited staff. I therefore decided to move Access to Insight to a new — and, I hope, more reliable — web host.
To make this move, I've temporarily disabled several features of the website, including the search engine and the zip downloads (including the "bulk" file of the entire website). I hope to have these back in service within the next week or two. In the meantime, please be patient as I track down the myriad little bugs and glitches that inevitably result from a move such as this. If you have any problems, please
let me know
. Thanks!
Please note that I have a new e-mail address: "john at access to insight dot oh are gee".
Finally, please also note that a few months ago I changed my mailing address:
